Originally from Oregon, transferred to Virginia and retired to rural Nebraska Ive seen it all and am willing to tell! This site is all about family…from the perspective of a 40 something lady who has kids, stepkids, grandkids, fur kids…kids that just claim us! (I know most of their names even!!). I blog about recipes, travel, shopping, our pets, product reviews, life wins and some fails. Most of our readers are woman who are between 25-54. Most are middle class people who accept the craziness of my life because they are experiencing the same things…I just admit it on a website! Im married to a retired private industry aerospace guy. (Ok he retires in 3 weeks!) He is way WAY smarter than I am and drives me nuts. Im more free spirit tree huger. He is a detail orientated guy that plans out which order he will wear his socks. I paint fairies on the walls, he cleans up paint splatter! We balance each other! Because of the differences there is always a hot topic to share! We have 8 kids total. The first 4 are from his ex-wife and then mine! Mick is 23 years older than I am. To say that we are eccentric should be a given but deep down where it matters we are very traditional! His eldest and I are 18 months apart (FYI I am older!) So there are grandkids almost the same age as my kids and a great grandchild arrived last August!. I spoil everyone , he reins me in!
