I’ve really been missing my lil rambling blog this month! We have had all the crazy and then some! Let me update!
First, of course, the Covid-19. Instead of the usual stuff we post in the groups, we pretty well changed over to almost all P.P.E. because our friends and family in the medical community could not find anything! Talk about SCARY! Luckily we got them squared away and got to help a lot of other people along the way. That makes my heart happy!
Morgan got a new puppy! He is about a year old and only like 3 pounds. He is SOOOO tiny. But he is a very lovey lil guy! She names him Jaque. Her big dog Sid had a cancer tumor removed and is healing up nicely!
Evelyn joined Bellamie and is now also a chicken farmer! She got her chicks and 2 ducks! She seems to really be enjoying urban farm life!
I, of course, went crazy and started dropping off masks and sanitizer everywhere around me. If I’m not worried I think I get more stressed. Proactive is for sure my where I function the best! We have one last gallon of sanitizer for the local clinic and another for a dentist office in a town being hit very hard with the virus I can’t imagine how scary that would be honestly. You cant have the patient’s face covered as a dentist! We are also dropping off some Lysol instant room sanitizers, Lysol spray, Germ-x, and disinfecting wipes.
I am really encouraging people who are sitting at home like they are supposed to be, to donate all the gallons of hoarded stuff to your local EMTs, and other first responders! You’re not going to need it, and they do! ALSO before anyone says anything I had to hunt down and buy the stuff we donated specifically TO DONATE. I did not have a hoard! We ordered everything with the intent of donating it after the virus was taking over the country. Basically I had to pay way to much to get people needed items because some of you all thought you needed 60 gallons of sanitizer while you hid inside your homes. Even if you sell at cost so others can get the items needed it would help a lot of people! If you donate it could be a tax deduction maybe? (Honestly, I’m not 100% on that cause I’ve never deducted donations)
And in closing, I have not yet killed Mick for driving me insane and clearly he hasn’t killed me either! I’m VERY sick of the news. It’s so overwhelming to see that kind of death. I’ de rather put my focus on helping people stay safe! Today we drove around putting masks on the doors of some of the town’s elderly residents! One made us the most beautiful crochet washcloth!! I wore gloves and changed and sanitized at each door to not cross-contaminate, and of course, we have a mask on if near anyone for the same reason!
Well, I will update you guys again soon! We are starting an article to share some of my town’s photographer’s skills! I’m excited to show you guys a lil bit of our small-town life and how the residents here capture the uniqueness of Fairbury, NE.
