The Salvation Army:
As a Christian organization, The Salvation Army shares the wonder of God’s love with those less fortunate every holiday season. Typical Christmas events may include a Christmas Concert or Dinner, and cards and gifts distributed to hospitalized youths and seniors. At Thanksgiving, meals are prepared and shared with the hungry. Easter eggs may be hidden for the joy of local children during Easter.
The Salvation Army strives to foster the comfort and cheer of holiday blessings in communities across the world while helping people to meet their basic needs. Other non-religious holiday observances vary in accordance with local culture and customs. http://www.use.salvationarmy.org/USE/www_usn20.nsf/vw-text-dynamic-arrays/9DE6045F2944DECA8825770B00545896?openDocument&charset=utf-8
United Way Tis The Season Program: The holiday season is the time for giving. There’s something that permeates the air once Halloween passes, something that lifts up our spirits and inspires us to get in tune with our inner giver. There’s probably so much you would like to give to your family, but like many people just like you, even making the holidays enjoyable seems impossible due to financial difficulties. Sure, there’s layaway at Wal-mart and Kmart, but if you’re in a financial bind, putting down ten percent, along with making weekly installment payments isn’t going to be affordable for you! You need something that will provide you and your family a decent Christmas, leaving you with money to still pay your bills http://www.christmashelp.net/

Trees For Troops
Imagine a smiling group of U.S. troops gathered around a Christmas Tree that was grown on an American farm and express shipped to arrive fresh and green somewhere on the other side of the world, just in time for Christmas. Or, imagine a spouse and children sharing joyous memories of Christmas through the gift of free, real Christmas Tree while their family member is away serving our country. Trees for Troops® makes this vision a reality! christmasspiritfoundation.org.
